Arctic Monkeys - 'When the Sun Goes Down'
Released 16th January 2006

Arctic Monkeys are an English indie rock band, who formed in 2002, in the suburbs of Sheffield. The band consists of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O'Malley, and Matt Helders. The band has released five studio albums, and the bands debut album became the fastest selling debut album in British music history. The band have won five Brit awards; winning Best British Group twice, and have twice been nominated for the Grammy Awards. They were heralded as one of the first bands to come to the public attention through the internet (fan based sites), with the commentators suggesting they represented the possibility of a change in the way in which new bands are promoted and marketed. Arctic Monkeys are also regarded as one of the most prominent bands to be part of the post punk revival in the UK; this was after achieving commercial success and spawning two number on singles with their debut album.
