Practicing With Photoshop

To get ready for the making of our print productions, we had a tutorial on how to use Photoshop. Although being a photography student, I found the lesson helpful and rewarding. I showcased the original image and my own edited version.

The magnetic Lasso tool was a big key concept regarding the editing of both these images, I was glad to get some practice with using it as before I struggled to control it and my images began to look unprofessional and jagged. I can now use this tool without trouble and hopefully it will help me produce far more professional looking print productions.

At first I was a bit unsure of how to approach the edits, although using photoshop for photography, I feel it is used in a different way when regarding print productions, as adding a font and extra imagery is needed. However by the end of the lesson I was capable of using all the tools, and in fact now use some in my photography work. Resulting in the lesson being rewarding and effective.

  1. Well done for posting your practice task at manipulating images on photo shop. To strengthen you could develop your captions by explaining what tools and evaluating your finished products which are on your slide show.
